Introduction

The University of Southampton Malaysia (UoSM) is a branch campus of the University of Southampton, UK, which is situated in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.Southampton is ranked 77th in the globally recognised QS University Rankings 2022 and is a founding member of the Russell Group in the UK.

Since its opening in 2012, the university has grown from only offering Engineering programmesto a range of globally recognisedprogrammes across the fields of Engineering, Business, and Computer Science.

Southampton’s split campus (UK and Malaysia) degree programmes offer the chance to gain a unique ‘Southampton’ education for the first two years in Malaysia combined with the final two years at a world-class research-centered university in the UK.

The BSc programmes at UoSM are available to study full time in Malaysia or transfer to the UK after the first or second year of study*.

Our Location

As of late 2021, UoSMhas relocated toEco Galleria in Eco Botanic, Johor. This brand-new campus will see students and faculty members enjoying a multi-storey campus built to accommodate up to 2,000 students and features state of the art laboratories, learning spaces and recreational spaces which mirror the UK campus for an exceptional educational experience.

Students at UoSM will have access to sports and recreational facilities at EduCity, which includes a 6,000 pax capacity sports stadium, Olympic-sized swimming pools and a 400m athletic track field. Shuttle buses are provided by EduCity and EcoWorld, to and from the campus, accommodation and nearby facilities.Restaurants, mini-marts, convenience stores and clinicsare all within proximity to the accommodation and campus too.
