New postgraduate business suite – Advance and Professional programs
A range of new postgraduate courses will be rolled out in semester 2, 2015 and semester 1, 2016. We are now taking applications for semester 2, 2015 for the new:
- Master of Commerce (International Business) Professional
A new program that includes an opportunity for students to complete real industry projects and career development subjects. Students who qualify will undertake part of the industry project work at an industry site.
- Master of Commerce (International Business) – Advanced
- Master of Marketing – Advance
- Master of Commerce (Human Resource Management) – Advanced
New research-focused programs combining coursework, research and a range of business and management electives. Designed for students who want enhance their research skills for further study or a research career.
New Centre for Design Innovation website
The Swinburne Centre for Design Innovation has a new website linking researchers with industry and communities to enable design-led innovation. Visit the site to see video, student work and industry projects.

Design students win awards
Swinburne’s design students have been recognised for their talent and creativity, with two graduates being awarded the top design graduate in their respective categories, in the 2014 Design Institute of Australia Graduate of the Year Awards (GOTYA) in Victoria and Tasmania on 29 April.
Success at 48th Worldfest Houston International Film Festival
Swinburne’s Film and TV students won a total of 12 Worldfest Houston Remi awards for their work, including 4 Platinum Remis, 5 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze. The highest Swinburne honour went to the second year production The Promise, which picked up a coveted Special Jury Remi Award in the College Level Student Category.

Introducing Olivia Doyle: International Student Adviser – Employability
Olivia joins the Swinburne International Student Life team, dedicated to providing academic and personal support to international students, from Swinburne’s Centre for Career Development. Olivia will play a crucial role in international students’ career development, providing advice to international students through her newsletter, employability workshops, one-on-one appointments and guest-speaker events. Her recent event with PWC’s Daniel Simons attracted many international students.
